Are you still free for dinner tonight? I found two places near the theater.
Yes. What are the options?
The first is Harbor Kitchen. It’s cheaper, and we could eat around seven. The other is Maple Room. It costs more, but it’s usually quieter.
I’d rather go somewhere quieter. I’ve had a long day, and I don’t feel like shouting over a crowded room.
Then Maple Room sounds better for you. The only problem is that it’s almost fully booked. They have one table left at seven forty-five.
That’s later than I expected. Is Harbor Kitchen usually busy?
Very. They don’t take reservations, and there may be a line after seven.
So neither option is perfect. Which one would you choose?
Personally, I’d choose Harbor Kitchen. It’s cheaper, and we wouldn’t have to wait so long to eat.
Then you don’t really want to go to Maple Room?
I didn’t say that. I’m fine with either. Harbor Kitchen is my first choice, but it isn’t a strong preference.
All right. So what should we do?
It’s up to you. I chose the restaurant last time, so you can make the final decision tonight.
Okay, let’s book Maple Room. A quiet place is probably worth waiting another forty-five minutes.
That works for me. We can grab coffee at the café across the street before dinner.
And what about the movie afterward?
Let’s decide after we eat. If we’re tired, we can skip it and head home.
Good plan. Please reserve the table before someone else takes it.
I’m doing it now. At least the difficult part is settled.
