Are we still doing something this weekend?
I hope so, but I can’t confirm anything yet. My manager might ask me to work on Saturday morning.
When will you know?
I’ll know more tomorrow. She’s checking the schedule because two people asked for the day off.
All right. The weather is uncertain too. The forecast says it might rain, but they’re not sure yet.
That makes planning difficult. Were you still thinking about hiking?
Yes. If the weather is good and you’re available, we can go hiking at Pine Hill.
I’d like that. We haven’t done anything outdoors for weeks.
But if it rains, we could visit the new science museum instead. It’s indoors, and we don’t need to reserve tickets.
That sounds like a good backup plan. What if I have to work in the morning?
Then we can meet in the afternoon. The museum stays open until seven, and the hiking trail is only an option if we can start early.
So the museum is more flexible.
Exactly, but we don’t have to decide now.
You’re right. Let’s play it by ear. I’ll message you tomorrow when I know my work schedule.
And I’ll check the forecast again. If both things look good, we’ll hike. Otherwise, we’ll go to the museum.
Perfect. At least we know we’re doing something together.
Yes. The activity isn’t confirmed, but the weekend plan definitely isn’t cancelled.
