Hi, Marcus. Thanks again for inviting me to your dinner on Friday.
Of course. We’re keeping it small, but it should be nice.
I wanted to ask something. Would it be okay if I brought my boyfriend, Jamie?
Jamie? I don’t think I’ve met him before.
No, but I’ve told him about you. He’s free on Friday and would like to come.
That should be fine. I just need to check how many guests have confirmed.
Sure. Is there a problem with the number of people?
A little. My apartment isn’t large, and we don’t have much space around the table.
I understand. I don’t want the place to feel crowded.
Exactly. Two people still haven’t replied to the invitation.
So should I wait before telling Jamie?
You can ask him, but just let me know by Wednesday if he’s definitely coming.
Okay. If Jamie can come, I’ll confirm with you before Wednesday evening.
Perfect. If everyone accepts, I may need to borrow a chair from my neighbor.
Jamie can bring a folding chair if that helps.
Thanks, but don’t worry about that yet. I’ll organize the seating.
All right. I’ll speak to Jamie tonight and message you tomorrow.
Great. Once you confirm, I’ll add Jamie to the guest list.
