Sam, can you take over the client update for me? I need to leave earlier than expected.
Is everything okay?
My son’s school called. He isn’t feeling well, and I have to pick him up before the office closes.
Of course. How much of the update have you finished?
I’ve done most of it. I added the sales figures, summarized the client’s feedback and updated the delivery dates.
What still needs to be done?
You only need to check the last section and make sure the numbers match the spreadsheet. Then send it to Priya for approval.
Do I need to contact the client today?
No. Priya will send the final version tomorrow morning. The urgent part is getting the document ready for her before five.
All right. Is there anything else I should know?
The client asked us to explain why the second delivery was delayed. I wrote a short note, but please check that it sounds clear and professional.
I can do that. What about the budget report on your desk?
That can wait. It isn’t due until Thursday, so I’ll pick it up again tomorrow.
Good. I’ll focus on the client update first and leave the budget report for you.
Thanks. This is only temporary—I’m not asking you to manage the account from now on.
I understand. I’m just taking responsibility for finishing today’s update.
Exactly. Message me if something is unclear, but you should find all the instructions in the shared folder.
No problem. Go take care of your son. I’ll make sure Priya gets the document on time.
